• Parker EarthShield is a proposed hybrid fountain–electromagnetic (EM) dust cloud positioned near the Earth–Sun L1 point. Instead of a single solid shade, we continuously launch micro-dust “fountains” (preferably from lunar material), then use very weak EM fields to gently shape density and edges. A downstream electrostatic collector recovers most particles for reuse. The effect is a tunable, reversible reduction in sunlight (~0–2%) achieved by adjusting cloud area and opacity in real time. Because it works with physics—flowing through the target zone rather than trying to pin particles in place—the system emphasizes controllability, transparency, and safety.
